Hope Soap for the cancer patient from a cancer patient!
When my daughter, Allie, was just a toddler, she couldn't pronounce the word "soap." Instead, she called it "Hope." Little did we know, but her innocent little slip of the tongue foreshadowed the role soap would play in my life after a 1996 leukemia diagnosis. Thankfully, the treatments, though harsh, were effective. But they also made my skin more sensitive and persistently dry. A friend's gift of handcrafted soap changed everything. Its gentleness soothed my skin and felt better than any treatment prescribed by doctors. Soap making is my passion-a wonderful gift in my life that arose out of the difficulty of leukemia.

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants to support and balance the mind, body, and spirit. Patients with cancer use aromatherapy mainly as a form of supportive care that may improve quality of life, reduce stress and anxiety.
Aromatherapy is a form of supportive care to manage symptoms of cancer or side effects of cancer treatment. Working through smell receptors in the nose the essential oils send chemical messages along nerve pathways to the brain's limbic system, which affects moods and emotions.

Why Olive? Olive oil offers a greater gentleness that can't be found in other oils. Olive Oil is hygroscopic, acting as a humectant. This pulls water vapor from the air and traps it gently against your skin. This natural process will help bring moisture to dry or irritated skin.
